The Rode NT1000 is a studio-quality microphone that provides professional level audio, whether recording vocals at all volumes or instruments such as drums and pianos.
This product comes with only the microphone and nothing else. Rode is a well-known brand and provides various microphones that deliver high quality audio.

There are quite a few Shure microphones on this list, but none that I’m more impressed with than the Shure SM7B. This is the microphone of choice for various recording artists, podcasters, and streamers that I know or I consume content from.
This microphone provides top quality audio and is capable of picking up clear, crisp audio even at a distance. The package comes with two choices of pop filters depending on how it will be used, as well as instructions for flipping the microphone within it’s holding bracket.
The microphone is so powerful, it is often used as a boom microphone and offers instructions for flipping the product to ensure the best possible audio at all times. It has an expensive price point at $400, but delivers plenty of bang for your buck. This one is a game changer.

The Shure KSM8/N is a step above the rest. This microphone has been forged specifically for crisp, clear, angelic vocals. With a hardened carbon steel grill, this microphone boasts a “built in” pop filter that may live up to its name.
With a price point of $500, this microphone is the most expensive of the list of recommendations. This is primarily because I cannot see myself dropping anymore for a microphone, but if I were to commit half a grand to a single piece of recording equipment, it would be this.

There are plenty of microphones that come in at a higher price point than the Shure KSM8/N. If you have that sort of budget, feel free to dig into reviews from multiple sites to find any sorts of drawbacks before committing to your purchase. I’ve had several products be ordered and sent back almost immediately, despite thorough research being done ahead of time.
It never hurts to start at a lower price point and set goals for upgrades. While it would have been nice to start out with a Shure SM7B, we were able to find our footing with microphones that cost 5% of that price point. Content is always the focus, but quality audio is a very close second.
